I thought this place was amazing. The coffee was great. My daughter had the hot chocolate and she said it was amazing. And they are huge into helping the community. The people were friendly and made us feel at home. I would definitely return.
I highly recommend Hurricane Coffee Co on College Park Rd. The inside is inviting, comfortable and fun. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee and breakfast sandwich are delicious and unexpectedly affordable. Just the above information is enough for me to go again. This place is an amazing place. The owner has a heart for those who are struggling with homelessness hunger and mental health... Mistina is a woman after God's heart and God helps her help those who need help. The sandwiches had eaten was well worth the money that I paid as was the coffee. I had never heard of white coffee beans let me tell you it was delicious.
The owner is so sweet and friendly, she really makes the place feel like a home not a coffee shop. She has stocked it with so much comfy seating and amazing books and board games. Even a huge table to color at or game at. She has alot of goods from locals too. Loveee the chai latte!
My brother and I stopped in here for a caffeine refuel for a long road trip. The barista was extremely polite and professional, knowledgeable in her craft and quick to recommend delicious drinks. This is a very quaint and comfortable place to grab a high quality cup of Joe. Highly recommend.
Was introduced to the owner through work when she was assisting a homeless veteran who had been hit by a car and suffered significant broken bone injuries. My co-workers and I learned about the mission of this coffee shop and the owner, Mistina, and immediately decided we’d visit. The opportunity to do so arose one morning and Mistina made us two amazing coffee drinks. We discovered her community closet, her food pantry, and her resource guide. She has a huge board behind the counter explaining some of their mission and letting people know if they are hungry they will be fed, if they are in danger they will be saved, and if they are in need they will be helped. It’s an amazing place to be as can be witnessed by all the groups who utilize her space for their meetings and get together. This coffee shop is a safe place for all who need one. I returned the next day and crushed a very delicious egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich. Since that visit I’ve also had the privilege to enjoy her roast beef sandwich on sourdough….fire! This place knows how to do two things well - make great coffee drinks and make delicious sandwiches. What it knows how to do best is serve the community in need and be a safe place for all
Hurricane Coffee Company is an extraordinary oasis of human outreach and down right care. Every detail is intentional- people matter. Nobody left behind. Thoroughly enjoyed my Americano, complete with a chocolate covered espresso bean on top of the cup. Breakfast sandwich on ciabatta is also *chef's kiss* delicious!
Great space and great coffee! The service was wonderful, their wifi is strong, and they have plenty of seating. They also do a ton of give back to the community- go check them out and support them.
